Interim Registered Physiotherapist
Certified in IMS / Dry Needling
What can I do for you?
I believe the human body is capable of healing itself as long all the factors needed are present. If not, that’s where the physiotherapist can help. These factors can be physical, like stiff muscles and joints, poor movement patterns, lack of strength or mobility. However, there may also be certain fears or limits that we place on ourselves, either consciously or subconsciously. Together, we can tackle these issues and help get you feeling better than ever!
How else can I help you?
I completed several post-grad courses in the Netherlands and the US. With my training in Dry needling, I can find trigger points in your muscles very easily and treat them with a very thin needle.
I am also trained in using the Mulligan technique to help facilitate better joint movement. You will often hear this called "mobilizations with movement". This approach addresses joint pain and restriction in a gentler manner than that typically used with spinal manipulation.
I also have much international experience in sports rehabilitation and have worked with several high level European soccer teams. I try to focus especially on mobility and stability in the early stage of the injury. I believe, with a good foundation, you will be able to be stronger than before your injury.
Want to know a little bit more about me?
I was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I also completed my training for physiotherapy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Scienes. After 4 years working, I decided to move to Canada. I am very happy to be here on this beautiful Island! I like to try new things and this location provides so many great outdoor activities. You’ll likely see me riding my mountain bike in the valley. Furthermore, I am all ears if you have any tips for me!
